For the last few weeks I've regularly had an error message appearing on my desktop. It says " Username and password do not match. You provided (my gmail address). Please enter your full email address (including @domain.com)". This has been appearing since I read about a weakness on gmail that allows multiple password attempts and beefed up my password. Does it mean someone is trying to hack my gmail account?

Since I connected to the internet after having my pc repaired I have been getting a box popping up saying my Windows product needs activating, I click YES and it then informs me that my product is already activated click EXIT to continue, and for the last 6 days of the count down the pc had booted up normally.

Now when I click exit it goes to "Trevor log on" this has never appeared before, when I click to log on it goes to the "Your Windows product needs activated" and starts the loop again, so making my pc inaccessable.

WD 1600bb HD
unknown basic video card
and a basic cd/dvd drive

I have tried repeatedly to install xpsp3 on this system and each time during the file transfer period it stalls on a file and then nothing happens. I have tried different disks to eliminate disk errors. I have completely wiped and reformatted/partitoned the drive and still can get nothing to work.
I am trying to figure what my next step is to try to get this thing to load.

I did try early on to install Win7 but it did not even start to install

Didn't mean to start a new forum but couldn't figure out how to find one to solve my problem(s).

Several months ago my computer would crash occasionally when I tried to go onto Internet (dial-up connection). When I restarted I would get a message that my computer had gone through a severe problem and I should contact someone at Microsoft, which I didn't do because the listed cause of the problem was too complicated to understand.

I have two computers. One is at least 6 years old adn the other is about 4. Both hard drives are two years old. I installed both in one computer. I set One as a slave and the other a master. When I turn on the computer Only one OS system shows up. Is there a way that I can choose which OS system I want to boot up. One is Windowns ME and the other is Windows 98. I use these for music and projects instead of my new computer Windows XP. Do I need to change the BIOS is some way so I can switch from one OS to other OS? Sure need your help. Thanks

Hello, I have a 2003 HP Pavilion 555y desktop that I just reformatted using the restore CD's. Everything went just fine. I've done this before without any problems a couple of years ago by the way.

Anyway, updates tell me to download and install Service Pack 2, which I do. Takes a while to install as usual, then tells me to restart the computer. I restart.

This is when the problem starts. It just stalls where it says 'Please Wait.....'. Computer wont move off this part. Waited half an hour, then held in the start button to restart computer.

I have a problem that has just cropped up. My maximized screen is just a little too wide. I can only see a fraction of the close button and am unable to use the scroll facility unless I reduce the size of the screen. I am unable to move the screen as a whole when it is in the maximized mode so I can't reduce the size like that. I unable to recollect when it started exactly, but I haven't been doing anything unusual.

When I try to log into my computer on windowsXP, I enter my password it starts to log in, then it says saving your settings and logs off. No matter how many times I try it will not let any the users log into their accounts. Can you help me on what would cause this.

Mistakenly installed network sp3 onto just 1 computer... Windows logo comes on briefly then screen goes black . Computer is compaqpresario 5000. How do I remove sp3 and get screen to stabilize?

I have recently done a fresh install of vista on my Acer Aspire 9813 wkmi, the sound when booting and in Windows media player keeps hesitating.
I have installed 3rd. party codecs. I have now downloaded drivers from Acer and installed but still have a problem. Can anyone help with this problem ?
