The Windows registry is a special database that keeps settings for Windows and other programs.
You can make changes to the registry by using a registry editor like regedit.exe, the older regedt32.exe, or a third party registry editor.
WARNING: Using Registry Editor (regedit.exe or regedt32.exe) incorrectly can cause serious, system-wide problems that may require you to reinstall Windows to correct them. I cannot guarantee that all problems resulting from the use of the registry editor can be solved. Back up your registry first or make sure that System Restore is fully functioning, then use the registry editor at your own risk.
