Help-dvd is not playing in win vista home

guys,
after installing norton antivirus i am not able to play dvds. but i can play video files stored in my hard disk. when i insert a dvd disk , the autorun opens up and shows the content of the disk but after double click its get stuck and ask for online check solution or close the program.
pls help me out.

System Restore

If this was all recent, the simplest way that I would recommend is to perform these two steps:

  1. Uninstall Norton Antivirus.
  2. Do a System Restore to the latest point when it still worked.

I recommend against all Symantec/Norton software anyway, and I am not alone in this. Use some lightweight antivirus software like the free AVG or another good package. NOD32 is often recommended, but not free.
