Windows allows very little choice as to location and size of desktop wallpaper, whereas Active Desktop Calendar has a feature whereby an image of one's choice and be 'deployed' in ANY location on a desktop, as a wallpaper/background. Does anyone know of a program that confines it self to THAT functionality ?
I use, frequently, one dating site.
I'm dialing a phone number with skype. the answered call has extensions, and i have to press numbers in order to reach them.
I have a Sony Blu-ray player BX58 with only a basic non-upgradeable browser that does not support Adobe Flash. Hence while I can connect to a website, I cannot play a live flash broadcast playing on that on that website.
I have 5.1 surround sound using a Creative Sound Blaster Live! card. I set my speaker configuration to "surround sound 5.1", but it never stays that way! Every now and then I check the setup in Control Panel/sounds/speakers, and the config has changed to "desktop stereo speakers". This change happens BOTH, in windows control panel, AS WELL AS when I open the Creative Diagnostics program and check the speaker config.
Why does this happen, and how to prevent it.
Thanks in advance,

A while ago I started noticing that Windows Defender hasn't been able to properly load. I'm runnin Windows Vista Home SP 2. After a few attempts to find a solution to the problem on my own I also noticed that Windows Update isn't working at all either. I think this is all stemming from a while back an automatic update completely locked up my computer and it had to be shut down. And now, automatically or manually, I cannot install any type of updates. The way it seems it may have been a Windows Defender update that is messing me up as all my other security measures work fine.
I have just received an e-mail telling me that McAfee have taken money from my visa card to pay for renewal of their antivirus program. I had uninstalled it several months ago, and didn't know that I had to contact them to stop them renewing it automatically. I don't know if this is common knowledge, but if it isn't I thought your readers might like to know about it.
I am using xp home edition SP3. I have an icon that has appeared on the task bar of web sites I am using. I contacted the BitDefender web site and tried to send them an e-mail. They want to know a code number before the e-mail can be sent. I am unable to do this as BitDefender does not appear on the "all programs" list, or in the control panel " add or remove list. It does not appear on the search facility of the computer. Can you help please?
