I have 2 account (Administrator and Share) in my computer that use Windows XP Pro SP2.

Administrator is Admin account type.
Share is Limited account type.

I try to change Share user from Limited to Admin for some reason. When I restart com.

I want to change Share user from Admin to Limited again. I can't do it because Limited radio button can't select.

I try to login in Administrator user to set it and I can't set too.

Why I can't set it?

When I go into a web site I sometimes get an error warning "non responsive" and I am unable to proceed. The error message gives me the following codes;-

C:\DOCUME~1\JOHNBA~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER7213.dir00\iexplore.exe.mdmp
C:\DOCUME~1\JOHNBA~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER7213.dir00\appcompat.txt

Does this mean my setup is wrong, or am I missing some files?
It doesn't happen every time but is very frustrating whem I am, perhaps, doing a survey and can't get beyond a certain page.

I am not very computer literate but am able to follow well explained steps.

Finally got around to loading SP2.
Seemed to load fine, but after running in the "Files Cleanup" stage for couple of hours, the load stopped with approximately 80-85% of the progress bar showing. XP said it encountered a technical error and would shut down. It was late, I was tired, a bit frustrated, so didn't check the error message and shut the system down.
This morning, turned it on and seems to be working fine. I'm using it to send this inquiry.

My questions: 1. By not going to completion, is there a problem waiting to happen?

I have installed WIn XP SP2 yesterday.. ANd to my surprise whenever i say turn off.. the system gets restart... wht mite the problem

I've own Windows Vista Home Basic edition. Can you tell me how to send fax in this version of windows? Please help

Bought 'barebones' comp. Came with vista "starter" (?legal)that timed out and would not register. So bought legal version of windows xp with service pack 2 oem CD. Tried installing several ways. Keeps telling me os error when booted after install. Help I miss-miss-miss my computer! Thanks

after installing norton antivirus i am not able to play dvds. but i can play video files stored in my hard disk. when i insert a dvd disk , the autorun opens up and shows the content of the disk but after double click its get stuck and ask for online check solution or close the program.
pls help me out.

deleted some programs and rebooted the computer but it only gets to welcome screen and says "the procedure entry point StrSpnA could not be located in the dynamic link library SHLWAPI.dll." i have so much stuff on the comp i cant afford to re load xp and lose it all.

Several folders and other names have changed between Windows XP and Windows Vista. The following is an incomplete list. Replace username with the respective user name.

I have a weird problem that has popped up recently in my Windows XP Pro system. When I right mouse click on a file to drag it to copy or move it, the install program for another program (Roxio CD Creator) runs. When I cancel out of all that, the normal popup box for move, copy etc. comes up.

I have looked at the file associations, etc and see nothing out of the ordinary. Obviously, something is corrupted somewhere.

Does anyone have any ideas?
