The best JavaScript compressors are:

  • /packer/ – by Dean Edwards. High compression. Often requires that JSLint be run first. Web site often unavailable. You can try these mirrors while the web site is down: Mirror 1, Mirror 2. Base62 compression is unfavorable if your web server compresses with gzip, so don't enable it in that case, if loading performance is critical.
  • JavaScript Utility – by Patrick J. O'Neil. Highest compression, excellent syntax checker and several other good utilities also on the web site, but the compressor often fails when it doesn't like something in the JavaScript.
  • JSMin – by Douglas Crockford. Moderate compression. Often requires that JSLint be run first.
