For the last few weeks I've regularly had an error message appearing on my desktop. It says " Username and password do not match. You provided (my gmail address). Please enter your full email address (including @domain.com)". This has been appearing since I read about a weakness on gmail that allows multiple password attempts and beefed up my password. Does it mean someone is trying to hack my gmail account?

Upon booting up my Windows XP. I get this message in window: Sign in Username and password do not match. (You provided (user name) ). This problem started when I changed a bunch of my passwords to various internet accounts including gmail. Does anyone have any idea how I can get rid of annoying message. It doesn't seem to cause any problems, I just click ok on the dialog box and it closes.

If you have Gmail, you might also have Gtalk install'd on your computer. I had the same problem with the small box appering after i log on to Win 7. And after reading about it in forums on the net, i saw there were a connection between Error and Gmail. So i look'd at what program on my pc, hade an connection to gmail on windows startup. Then i remenber that my mail-account were under atack a while ago, so i had to change my password to reactivate it again. But it was still the same password in Gtalk. So when i log on at Win 7 and Gtalk at the same time try'd to connect to Gmail, the problem appered. So after changing the pass in Gtalk, no more error-box :-D
If you have any mail-program and at the same time a chat-program install'd at your pc who connect to the mail-account on startup, be sure to have same password.
