My external usb Maxtor HD and usb Flash drive have somehow become 'write protected' and i cant delete or add info to them. Ive tried all the usual, right clicking the drive and choosing 'Properties' to check if the 'read only' box is checked on both and it isnt. Been told to check my BIOS, but dont know how to do this. Is it on 'Start up'? or can I get into BIOS another way to see if there is anything to do with the drives? Ciao for any help from you guys.

This differs from computer to computer, so you have to look it up in your computer's manual or ask the manufacturer. I've seen Del, Esc, F1, F2, F10, F11, Ctrl, and probably some other keys.
