As of a few months ago, when I click *save in* to choose destination folder, there is no response for about 15 seconds. I have run Ashamooo, a cleaner and fixer that has solved many problems in the past, but it won't solve this one.
Any ideas? Thank you,

Does this happen in one particular program only?
The reason could be that one of the earlier folders that the program remembers in its most-recently-used list is a network folder that may no longer be reachable (or some other folder that has a problem).
If so and if you are patient, the problem will go away on its own one day. Alternatively you can try to delete the history or save a test file to several different folders and later delete the resulting files again.
